Job Description Highlights:
Reports To: General Manager
Location: Marietta, GA
Flexible Schedule: Minimum of 15 - 25 hours a week including weekend availability
Role Scope and Requirements:
The Summer Camp Instructor is a seasonal position that works in coordination with the mission of TOCA. We are looking for someone who would like to be a Seasonal Soccer, Baseball or Softball Instructor for TOCA camps and also assist in refereeing Youth and Adult leagues and events during the summer.
- Teach the basics of soccer through competition and practices
- Explain the rules of soccer, including scenarios and the skills necessary to complete
- Be a role model for the kids and lead by example
- Set up and take down all camp equipment daily
- Administration of activities and ensuring campers are staying on task.
- Lead the activity, guide them, participate as a ref, and in some cases, you may participate as an athlete.
- Ensure every camper has fun, learns something new, and learns that every kid gets something out of camp. Even though it’s difficult, challenging the superstars is just as important as teaching the beginners.
- Assist in weekly operations of Summer camps at the facility
- Assist in checking campers in, getting them warmed up for camp, abiding by the camp schedule set in place, and checking campers out upon camp completion
- Know how to deal with conflict when it occurs during camp
- Create meaningful and lasting relationships with kids and their parents to build their trust in you as their camp instructor
- Must display a great attitude, patience, effort, high energy, and engagement to be successful in this role
Knowledge and Experience:
- Athletic background is encouraged but not required
- Previous experience in camps, activities, and youth programs is preferred
- Successful completion of a background check if hired
- Fun, energetic, and positive individual
- Coachable and an understanding that each day brings another task

Your Game Plan:
On the Field: Coaching & Player Development (50%)
- Provide supportive feedback, timely interventions, and consistent reinforcement.
- Lead engaging, tech-enabled training sessions that help improve players’ technical ability, awareness, and decision making following TOCA’s session curriculum.
- Guide players in structured sessions through thoughtfully designed player pathways that help them achieve their personal goals.
- Build strong connections with players, parents, and coaches—you're their go-to for technical guidance and motivation.
- Follow up with clients, keep them engaged, and celebrate their wins.
- Be the welcoming face that makes the TOCA experience unforgettable.
- Team up with the TOCA Training Manager to track progress, review performance, and strategize for growth.
- Support efforts to win back players, analyze data, and adjust training methods as needed.
- Keep the facility a fun, clean, and inviting space. You create the atmosphere, ensuring everything stays positive and player friendly.
- Lead by example, upholding TOCA’s core values of excellence, innovation, and community.
- Soccer experience (coaching or playing at youth, college, or pro levels).
- A passion for coaching and player development.
- Energy to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and the occasional holiday.

Position Overview:
Be the game-changer! Lead our tech-powered soccer training program and help players of all levels level up fast. You’ll be the one making TOCA’s cutting-edge, tech-driven training fun and impactful while managing a squad of energized coaches.
Your Game Plan:
Community Growth & Program Buzz (50%)
- Soccer Hype Master: Connect with players, parents, local clubs, and coaches to spread the TOCA love. Your job? Get more players into TOCA sessions and keep them coming back for more.
- Sales & Player Growth Playbook: Use cool marketing tactics and promos to boost sessions and camps. Collaborate with other center leaders to grow our TOCA soccer program.
- Bring Players Back for More: Follow up with past players and get them back on the field with fun "come-back" offers.
- Budget Captain: Keep an eye on revenue, expenses, and find ways to grow the program while sticking to the budget.
- Tech-Powered Kickstart: Run 10 free “Kick Off” sessions each week, introducing players to TOCA’s tech-focused training tools. Use data to show players their progress and boost conversions.
- Clean & Clutter-Free: Make sure the facility is always in top shape—clean, welcoming, and buzzing with positive energy.
- Session Strategist: Work with the General Manager to update schedules, improve rebooking rates, and keep players engaged. Ensure that each training session sticks to TOCA standards for quality.
- Drive implementation of TOCA Session Standards: Ensure your team of Trainers consistently delivers high-quality sessions that align with TOCA's curriculum and player pathways. Cascade new information and best practices to maintain excellence across all training sessions.
- Build Your Dream Team: Recruit, train, and lead a squad of coaches who live for soccer and love TOCA’s tech-driven approach.
- Coach the Coaches: Provide regular feedback, lead fun training sessions, and ensure coaches are high-energy and ready to deliver awesome player experiences.
- Safety & Fun Balance: Make sure all coaches keep things fun while following TOCA’s safety rules.
- 1-2 years of operations leadership experience—bonus points if it’s in sports, retail, or hospitality
- Passionate about player development and thrilled to see players improve their skills.
