Internship Overview

The U.S. Soccer Summer Internship Program is designed for college students who are passionate about making an impact in the world of soccer. Each year, the program selects a cohort of talented, driven individuals to work across various departments from May through August. Interns gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of the Federation, develop professional skills, and connect with leaders across the sport. The program is based at U.S. Soccer’s Arthur M. Blank National Training Center in metro Atlanta and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of the game at all levels.

Internship opportunities vary each summer; the departments participating in summer 2026 include:

Advancement, Communications, Events, Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Partnership Marketing, Product, Soccer Growth, Sporting, and Strategy

Internship Requirements

  • Current college sophomore or junior enrolled at an accredited 4-year college or university
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Ability to work in person, full-time, for 12 weeks from May to August
  • Deep ties to the Atlanta area – either currently living in metro Atlanta or from the area with a desire to build a career here post-graduation
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general comfort with digital tools
  • Passion for soccer, sports, or mission-driven work strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated involvement in campus leadership, athletics, or community service is a plus
