Position Description

The U.S. Soccer Federation seeks a Senior Manager of Product Operations to lead a small, high-impact team that drives organizational effectiveness through well-designed tools, systems, and knowledge infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, data, and business teams — ensuring internal systems are not only integrated and scalable, but actively accelerate how the organization operates. Success in this role is measured by the degree to which teams across the Federation can move faster, make better decisions, and focus on higher-value work.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds with long-term sustainability in mind, and finds purpose in multiplying the impact of those around them — including through AI-enabled solutions. This position reports to the Senior Director of Platforms.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team while maintaining active involvement in day-to-day execution
  • Own and evolve the successful use of internal tools and systems, including Jira and Airtable
  • Oversee key marketing platform integrations (e.g. composable CDP, Braze, Salesforce)
  • Partner with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements, understand workflows, and deliver practical, high-impact solutions
  • Configure and implement systems, automations, and workflows directly, while coordinating with engineers and product managers on more complex efforts
  • Oversee processes for intake, prioritization, and delivery of internal tools and systems work
  • Drive the development of enterprise knowledge management practices, improving how information is documented, structured, and accessed across the organization
  • Create visibility into priorities, progress, and outcomes, ensuring effective communication and alignment across teams

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of professional experience supporting technology and data initiatives in rapidly growing organizations
  • Deep expertise administering and configuring Airtable and JIRA
  • Familiarity with system integrations, marketing technology, and data platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to design or build custom internal solutions (e.g., workflows, knowledge access, automation)
  • Proven track record managing and mentoring team members, with a focus on coaching and development
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building abilities across teams and functions
  • History of improving operational efficiency through systems, automation, or workflow design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • General knowledge of soccer
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
  • Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)

Desired Qualifications
  • Thrives on identifying and pursuing new and improved solutions with minimal direction — consistently spotting opportunities to optimize before being asked
  • A background in, and passion for, soccer, sports and/or entertainment is preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, tasks, and priorities
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish, preferred)
  • Collaborative, team-player with a results-driven mindset
  • Proven ability to set and deliver on clear, ambitious goals and to be accountable for results
  • Creative thinker, self-starter with strong analytical skills
  • Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission

U.S. Soccer offers a comprehensive compensation package, casual work environment, an inclusive culture, and an atmosphere for professional development.
