Position Description

A key member of the National Training Center (NTC) team, the Director of Hospitality & Events is responsible for building and leading the programming, sales & service, and hospitality/HQ operations functions of the National Training Center. The role is responsible for the success of all programing from intake to execution, fostering an elite culture committed to ensuring the delivery of world class experiences across all NTC activities.

Primary Responsibilities

Programming & Calendar Leadership

  • Translate NTC programming priorities into an annual calendar that balances National Teams, coaching/referee education, member events, donor/partner activations, and 3rd party rentals.
  • Maintain the central booking system, inventory rules, blackout dates, and prioritization logic.

Sales & Service (Inbound & Internal)

  • Operate an inbound intake pipeline and ensuring a usage mix representing the broad U.S. Soccer ecosystem.
  • Represent the NTC at trade shows and industry events to cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Qualify inquiries, scope event needs, and communicate timelines and expectations clearly.
  • Assist the GM in setting and updating rate cards and event policies, ensuring contracts and compliance standards are applied consistently.

Headquarters Operations

  • Oversee the team responsible day-to-day operations of US Soccer’s Headquarters, including reception, supplies, snacks, etc.
  • Work with HR to ensure staff suggestions and concerns are heard.

Event Planning & Execution

  • Oversee event planning tools, BEOs/function sheets, production schedules, and run-of-show documents for all facility spaces.
  • Collaborate with food & beverage vendor to facilitate all catering needs of the NTC.
  • Standardize pre-conference, daily operations huddles, and post-event debriefs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure services such as A/V, streaming, signage, parking, and accessibility accommodations meet the needs of each event while also matching the aesthetic and policies of the NTC.

Hospitality & Front-of-House Operations

  • Establish service standards for reception, VIP protocol, and concierge support.
  • Lead the Hospitality team to deliver professional, welcoming experiences daily and at scale during major activations.
  • Partner with Security and Facilities to balance open, welcoming spaces with high-level access control.

Tours & Volunteer Program

  • Build a guided tour program to highlight NTC features, heritage displays, and storytelling opportunities
  • Develop a volunteer docent/greeter program (recruiting, training, scheduling) in partnership with HR and Advancement.

Systems, Policies & Standards

  • Manage the intake portal, booking/CRM/EMS systems, and event management standards.
  • Create playbooks for recurring scenarios (standard operations, FIFA windows, ID camps, tournaments, large events).
  • Document policies for member access, hosting protocols, photography/media, and facility tours.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Develop and manage the Hospitality & Events budget; forecast staffing and event-driven expenses.
  • Track utilization and event performance data; support the GM in developing KPIs and evaluation metrics.

Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with Advancement, Commercial, and Development on sponsor/donor experiences.
  • Serve as a key facility liaison to lodging, F&B, transportation, and production partners.
  • Represent the NTC with members, leagues, clubs, federations, and local agencies.

Risk, Safety & Accessibility

  • Lead the creation of event risk assessments and emergency protocols in partnership with Security, Legal, and Medical.
  • Ensure accessibility and inclusive design in all guest-facing services, consistent with U.S. Soccer’s commitment to members and Extended National Teams (ENTs).

People Leadership

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead the Sales & Service and Hospitality managers.
  • Build a collaborative, entrepreneurial, team-oriented culture that reflects U.S. Soccer’s principles and values.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in hospitality/events leadership at a sports, university, NGB, or multi-venue campus.
  • 3+ years managing a team.
  • Proven success in client stewardship, event planning, and venue operations.
  • Proficiency in Ungerboeck, Salesforce, Momentus, or similar systems.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • General knowledge of soccer.
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments.
  • Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting elite sport environments and/or national governing body programs.
  • CMP, CSEP, or similar certification.
  • Multilingual skills (Spanish preferred).
  • Familiarity with ADA standards and accessibility best practices.
  • Passion for soccer.

Position Description


US Soccer is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Manager of Turf and Grounds to oversee the maintenance and presentation of the Arthur M. Blank US Soccer National Training Center; a premier training facility located outside of Atlanta, Georgia. This position is responsible for producing and maintaining world-class Bermuda grass and overseeded ryegrass playing surfaces that are safe, consistent, and aesthetically exceptional for professional trainings.

The Senior Manager Turf of Grounds will play a key role collaborating with the Director of Turf and Grounds in developing and executing agronomic programs, supervising staff, and building strong relationships with coaches, performance staff, and club leadership to ensure the fields consistently meet the highest professional standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Field Maintenance

  • Manage the daily care, preparation, and long-term health of grass and artificial training fields.
  • Assist the Director of Turf and Grounds to develop and implement an annual agronomic plan, including fertilization, irrigation, mowing, aeration, topdressing, verticutting, grow covers, and sod repair.
  • Operate and maintain field-testing equipment to monitor turf and soil conditions, adjusting practices accordingly.
  • Execute painting and layout of multiple field markings for soccer and other sport-specific needs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of fields, ensuring compliance with professional playing standards.
  • Support both large- and small-scale renovation projects, including sod replacement and turf recovery programs.
  • Assist with irrigation troubleshooting, repairs, and system monitoring.
  • Ensure proper care, storage, and safe operation of all equipment.

Leadership & Staff Oversight

  • Assist in recruiting and training of new staff.
  • Provide direction, supervision, and mentorship to full-time, part-time, and seasonal grounds staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional pride in field presentation.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training as assigned.

Collaboration & Event Support

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with coaches, and performance staff to align field conditions with training objectives.
  • Prepare and adjust field schedules around team needs, coordinating with multiple departments to maximize facility use.
  • Support training or special event field requirements when scheduled at the Arthur M. Blank US Soccer National Training Center.

Planning & Execution

  • Assist the Director, Turf and Grounds in developing and executing long-term turf management strategies.
  • Implement programs, objectives, and procedures that ensure optimal turf performance across all training fields.
  • Track and manage inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies required for turf operations.
Requirements:


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or two-year certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional turf management experience, preferably in a sports facility or golf course setting
  • Strong understanding of turfgrass principles and field maintenance practices
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical staff, coaches, and leadership
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop staff
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing elite playing surfaces
  • Ability to obtain necessary pesticide and fertilizer certifications
  • General knowledge of soccer
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments

Position Description


The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all U.S. Soccer employees, including network staff, full/part-time employees, contractors, and national team players. This role supports the Payroll Manager in all aspects of payroll administration, compliance, and reporting, and serves as a key resource for employee payroll inquiries. The Payroll Administrator works closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure payroll processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational policies.

Payroll Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process weekly multi-state payroll using a third-party payroll system (currently Paylocity).
  • Review and ensure payroll data for new hires, terminations, and approved changes entered by HR are complete and accurate, ensuring all adjustments are supported by proper documentation and authorization from HR or management.
  • Process off-cycle payments and manual checks as needed.
  • Review and process employee-initiated changes from the Self-Service Portal (direct deposit, demographic, tax, etc.) that have been approved by HR or management.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and audits.
  • Respond promptly to payroll-related questions from employees and managers.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Support processing of child support orders, wage garnishments, and tax levies.
  • Assist with the administration of PTO, benefits deductions, and special pay arrangements as authorized by HR or management.
  • Generate payroll reports and assist with data collection for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.

Position Description

As an Equipment Operations - Specialist for U.S. Soccer, this position is responsible managing various aspects of team equipment operations as it relates to U.S Soccer’s Youth National Teams (16), Extended National Teams (9), and key Sporting and Commercial departments based in Atlanta. The position demands a high level of familiarity with the sport of soccer, the products and equipment necessary for facilitating training and competition, both on and off the field. This position reports to and works closely with the Equipment Operations Management Team to meet departmental goals.

As a member of the Equipment Operations department, this position travels on YNT and ENT trips as required and is an integral part of the YNT and ENT support staff. A high degree of professionalism is required, as is the ability to independently create quick, effective solutions for issues that arise. The position is heavily focused on ensuring the players and coaching staff can rely on having team equipment needs secured for all training, matches, etc. on and off the field. Additionally, this role collaborates closely with YNT Administrators to ensure the success of all on and off the field requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Handle the duties of day-to-day operations of on-site equipment headquarters, NTC warehouse, storage and locker rooms
  • Use inventory software to maintain accurate product inventory, product replenishment needs and individual product dispersal
  • Forecast and assist with the departmental purchase orders seasonal buys for all Youth National Teams, Extended National Teams, and non-promo Federation departments
  • Process, manage and place both futures and at-once orders against yearly product allocation via NIKE GameDay online ordering system
  • Contribute to the movement and logistical planning for all equipment needs for YNT and ENT domestic and international camps, matches and tournaments including the coordination, packing and overseeing the shipping and receiving logistics
  • Serve as a point of contact, if needed, for any and all critical equipment fulfillment needs that arise for traveling teams, Federation staff, departments, etc.
  • Sustain proactive communication with Management of Equipment Operations, YNT and ENT administration and coaching personnel
  • Assist the Manager of EQ Ops Sports Med/HP with shipping and receiving duties, if necessary
  • Collaborate with the YNT and ENT coaching staff with equipment and training set up, as needed
  • Responsible for effective team laundry needs while on the road and at the facility
  • Ensure presentation of the team (team gear, attire, etc.) is of the highest quality
  • Remain up-to-date with FIFA rules and equipment protocol regulations
  • Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
