Position Description

The Senior Performance Coach, WYNT will be responsible for supporting multiple WYNTs through the delivery of integrated sport science practices. As a member of the interdisciplinary High Performance Team, you will work closely with the technical staff of the Women's National Team (WNT). Your role will involve contributing to the development and enhancement of world-class performance support. A key focus will be on supporting US Soccer's Female 360 initiatives to help the team become world leading in a female-centered approach

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive performance support services to the WYNT program, including monitoring, physical performance testing, strength and conditioning, recovery and nutritional provision in alignment with U.S. Soccer standards and camp objectives
  • Work collaboratively with WYNT coaches to help guide training processes and support the implementation of performance strategies tailored to team and individual needs
  • Travel extensively with WYNTs to domestic and international training camps and competitions, providing on-site support and ensuring consistent service delivery
  • Develop individual and team-based training programs for WYNT players, both during U.S. Soccer camps and in collaboration with their clubs (i.e., club-to-international transition)
  • Oversee the collection, storage, and dissemination of data in accordance with U.S. Soccer standards, ensuring it is shared and translated to relevant staff, players, and external stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clubs, universities, and international partners to support the bilateral exchange of information and player-related data
  • Help manage the staffing, onboarding, and performance standards of full-time and network professionals in collaboration with the Sports Science Senior Manager
  • Educate and mentor staff on U.S. Soccer’s High Performance practices, while contributing to the broader development of a world class training environment
  • Facilitate alignment along the WNT, U23 WNT, and WYNT talent pathway to support player transitions and long-term development
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities
  • Participate in regular performance appraisals with WNT and WYNT leadership as part of an individual growth and development initiative
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or international equivalent certification
  • Minimum of 4 years of practical experience working with elite female athletes and/or female teams
  • 1-2 years of experience in managing comprehensive projects and performance staff members
  • Able and willing to travel up to 50% of the year
  • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Must be able to stand for long durations, and lift, move, carry up to 50 pounds
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Strong knowledge of soccer
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
  • Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)

Desired Qualifications

  • PhD in Sport & Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physiology, or a related field
  • Certified Performance & Sport Scientist (CPSS) or equivalent certification
  • Knowledge and experience of performance requirements for both adult and youth players
  • Experience working in collaboration with coaches and multidisciplinary support staff
  • Significant experience working with monitoring systems (e.g., GPS, heart rate, force plates, etc.)
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Passion for soccer and advancing elite women’s sport
  • Previous experience with a club and/or national team

Position Description

U.S. Soccer is looking for a Manager, Sporting Communications to lead communications for our Youth National Teams (YNT) and Extended National Teams (ENT). These 25 teams represent the future and diversity of American soccer—from elite youth players competing in FIFA tournaments to athletes excelling in Beach Soccer, Futsal, Power Soccer, and Cerebral Palsy and Deaf disciplines. This role is essential to elevating their visibility, telling their stories, and aligning their communications with U.S. Soccer’s broader mission to work in service to soccer and grow the game for everyone.

This role will own and execute the full communications strategy for YNT and ENT programs, including developing press materials, conducting media relations and proactive pitching, tracking team stats, milestones, and rankings, translating them into engaging narratives across internal and external platforms. You’ll serve as the primary liaison between media, teams and internal stakeholders to build cohesive messaging and multi-channel campaigns that underscore the U.S. Soccer mission. Additionally, you will manage media operations during domestic training camps and international tournaments, ensuring coaches and players are well-prepared for interviews and can incorporate U.S. Soccer messaging organically.

A key focus will also be driving visibility for ADAPTandTHRIVE, U.S. Soccer’s flagship disability inclusion initiative. Position Description


The Director of Corporate Communications – NTC/New Business Ventures - will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications initiatives that enhance the visibility of U.S. Soccer, with a particular focus on the National Training Center (NTC) in Atlanta and new business ventures. This role requires strong leadership in media relations, community engagement, and storytelling to effectively communicate the organization’s goals and achievements. The individual will serve as a key liaison with media, partners, and stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities

NTC & Metro Atlanta Communications

  • Develop and implement a strategic communications plan for all NTC/Metro Atlanta-related initiatives.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with local and national media to promote the NTC.
  • Serve as the primary communications liaison for Atlanta-based stakeholders, including AMBSE, Coca-Cola, and other key partners.
  • Act as a community ambassador, representing U.S. Soccer with local civic and community organizations and serving as spokesperson when necessary.
  • Partner with the events team to coordinate media and community activities around milestone NTC events.
  • Support the NTC partnership development team with communication strategies.
  • Provide media relations assistance for Men's, Women's, Youth, and Extended National Teams when training at the NTC.

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with local and national media to promote the above initiatives.
  • Support internal clients within the Federation including strategy, tournaments, and commercial teams to support their communications needs surrounding these initiatives.
  • Collaborate with content team to align messaging and storytelling initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Conduct media and speaker training for U.S. Soccer spokespeople in alignment with strategic messaging frameworks.
  • Act as a facilitator for meetings with internal departments and external partners.
  • Serve as an emcee or moderator for U.S. Soccer events when necessary.
  • Lead and mentor a corporate communications manager to assist with department initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

U.S. Soccer is seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager, Communications to drive storytelling and elevate the profile of the Soccer Forward Foundation, while aligning communications across the Advancement and Commercial teams.   • Develop and execute the communications strategy for the Soccer Forward Foundation in collaboration with the VP, External Communications.
  • Create and manage storytelling opportunities for Soccer Forward programs. Work to build and maintain relationships with a diverse portfolio of reporters to secure coverage of Soccer Forward’s work. Regularly liaise with Federation programmatic staff to identify opportunities and assess options for pitching and storytelling through USSF channels and earned media.
  • Craft compelling narratives that highlight the impact of the Foundation, major gifts, and strategic donor partnerships.
  • Connect storytelling across Advancement, Commercial, and Foundation efforts to ensure brand alignment and amplify impact.
  • Create press materials, feature stories, speeches, talking points, and donor communications.
  • Pitch stories to media and secure earned coverage that enhances the visibility of the Foundation and Advancement programs.
  • Assist with reactive press support as needed: manage and field incoming press inquiries. Be able to provide research, recommendations, and strategic assessments for press inquiries.
