Position Description

We are seeking a mission-driven and detail-oriented Nonprofit Finance and Treasury Manager to support the establishment and management of our organization’s endowment, ensure accurate fund accounting, and provide robust financial reporting for our development and leadership teams. This role will serve as a critical bridge between finance and fundraising, ensuring that donor intent, regulatory compliance, and organizational transparency are upheld.

Primary Responsibilities

Endowment and Investment Oversight

  • Assist in establishing our endowment structure and investment policy.
  • Coordinate with external investment advisors and/or financial institutions to execute operational initiatives, and/or hold governance/investment review meetings.
  • Monitor and report on endowment fund performance by adopting Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) and compliance with UPMIFA.
  • Track earnings, spending allocations, and fund balances while reconciling fund positions/securities to outside sources.

Fund Accounting & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of restricted, unrestricted, and temporarily restricted funds.
  • Support grant and donation tracking, including donor-specific restrictions.
  • Develop and implement consistent policies and procedures to generate timely and accurate reports for internal stakeholders and donors leveraging business analysis, requirement gathering, workflow design, operational review, and quality assurance.
  • Assist with annual audit preparation and Form 990 reporting.

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Advancement team to ensure accurate donor reporting and stewardship.
  • Prepare fund summaries, financial reports, and gift acknowledgments as needed.
  • Help analyze fundraising data and financial impact of donor activity.
  • Treasury Management
  • Assist in managing daily cash operations, including monitoring cash positions, initiating fund transfers, and ensuring adequate liquidity across accounts that considers the sources of income generated by the endowment
  • Perform reconciliations of liquidity dashboards, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Provide strategic insights through cash flow forecasting and liquidity analysis to optimize the deployment of restricted and unrestricted assets.

Compliance and Systems

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB 117, and internal financial controls.
  • Maintain and optimize fund tracking within financial software and donor CRM systems.
  • Recommend improvements to financial reporting processes and tools.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in nonprofit finance, fund accounting, fund performance, investment analytics or endowment management.
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit GAAP, GIPS, UPMIFA, and restricted fund tracking.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Blackbaud Financial Edge).
  • Familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce/Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack ) a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication ability.
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments.
  • General knowledge of soccer.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • CPA, MBA, CFA, or relevant certifications preferred but not required.

Position Description

The Manager, Sporting Strategy is a strategic and operational leader that will play a critical role in driving The U.S. Way – U.S. Soccer’s Strategy for producing winning Senior National Teams with an emphasis on player development. This individual will collaborate with the Sporting leadership team and other key Federation stakeholders to shape, plan, and execute priority initiatives and processes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Shape and manage transformative strategic initiatives (e.g., project goals and tracking, stakeholder management, communications) that further the goals of The U.S. Way.
  • Support Sporting leadership in establishing creative, clear, and effective organizational processes and systems.
  • Lend important operational support for Sporting initiatives such as setting meeting agendas, coordinating schedules, and tracking key next steps.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses for Sporting projects, with the ability to create analytical insights, package those into effective communications, and inform critical decisions.
  • Establish relationships with peers in other Federation departments to further Sporting’s strategic initiatives and U.S. Soccer’s overall strategy
  • Support Sporting department leadership in all aspects of board and external stakeholder management, including key analyses for board topics, creating clear communication materials, etc.

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5+ years professional experience in management consulting, business operations/ general management, strategy, or project management
  • Outstanding project management skills with ability to manage and drive forward multiple projects

Position Description

U.S. Soccer is seeking a dynamic Manager, Content Development to join our Content Strategy and Planning team. This role is pivotal to the development, planning and programming of best-in-class content that will engage and inspire soccer fans and members.

This role will support U.S. Soccer’s content team in leading creative development and seeing projects through execution to tell the story of soccer in all its forms, including the Federation’s work in service to soccer, our members (referees, coaches, member orgs, etc.) and ultimately the best of us - our athletes, from our Senior National Teams to Extended National Teams.

This individual will work with the Director, Content Strategy and Planning by leading brainstorm sessions and creative development, writing content proposals and scripts, planning and production of content projects, and collaborating with the other verticals in the content team to ensure we are working efficiently while producing the best content possible.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, planning and execution of content across U.S. Soccer’s owned and operated platforms, including website, app, DTC, and social media.
  • Collaborate with Partnership Marketing and Content Teams on the ideation of new content by leading brainstorm sessions.
  • Build content briefs for new content series, including potential roll out plans, mapping to audience cohorts and outlining potential brand integrations.
  • Collaborate with Content, Video and Social Media team on building out content distribution schedules, and input into content calendar, including production timelines.
  • Support scheduling and publishing content in various CMS platforms, including filling out meta data and optimizing for search engines.
  • Track and analyze the performance of content to identify best practices and leverage insights to optimize content plans for future roll outs.
  • Take on special projects as needed such as supporting specific campaigns, product launches or other events tied to U.S. Soccer’s objectives.
  • Stay up to date with latest digital and SEO trends, ensuring U.S. Soccer content remains relevant and impactful.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4-5+ years of experience in digital content or marketing with a focus on sports (soccer experience preferred but not required).
  • Proven ability to perform and excel in fast-paced environments and meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and ability to stay on top of trends and algorithm changes
  • Experience using different content management systems and web analytics tools
  • Ability to present data and insights to different groups of stakeholders at all levels of the federation
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance short-term deliverables with long-term projects in concurrent workstreams.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders in dynamic and fast-changing environments, effectively balancing priorities and ensuring clear communication across teams
  • Able to work out of U.S. Soccer’s future headquarters in Atlanta, GA

This individual will play a pivotal role in bringing to market key strategic value propositions with select audience cohorts, while serving as a central connector across internal teams and external partners throughout the soccer ecosystem. This role is ideal for a creative and collaborative marketer with a strong strategic mindset, deep relationship building capabilities, and a passion for purpose-driven work. The ideal candidate thrives at embracing their marketing acumen at the intersection of sports business, cultural relevance, social impact, and growing the sport of soccer.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Social Impact Marketing: Spearhead integrated marketing plans for U.S. Soccer’s social impact arm and legacy initiative: the Soccer Forward Foundation. You will serve as the core marketing business partner to the team charged with making soccer a force for good. Whether that is making soccer more accessible to everyone and everywhere, or making the nation healthier through soccer, or making women’s soccer the best it can be, you will contribute to amplifying their core messages across both B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Influencer & Cultural Marketing: Lead the development and execution of influencer strategies that amplify U.S. Soccer’s brand voice, mission, and campaigns through culturally relevant storytelling. You will architect the roadmap that identifies national and local influencers across all facets of culture, including sports, music, fashion, media, the arts, and more in order to extend our reach into new audiences.
  • External Partner Engagement: Partner with clubs, leagues, soccer governing bodies, non-profit organizations, and grassroots movements to collaboratively promote initiatives that advance the growth and inclusivity of soccer in the U.S.
  • Campaign Planning & Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative, media, growth marketing, content, fan experiences, etc.) to plan, implement, and optimize integrated marketing campaigns for strategic business drivers of the Federation that align with marketing priorities and strategies, from concept to post-event analysis. Drive long-lead campaign planning, including timeline development, budget coordination, and resource allocation.
  • Agency Management: Drive strategic leadership alongside our agency partners. You will be expected to craft agency briefs, prioritize objectives, deliver clear and concise feedback, and steer creative thinking in service to the Federation’s business objectives.
  • Program Innovation: Identify and activate unique opportunities to elevate U.S. Soccer’s visibility and values through unconventional channels and creative storytelling approaches.
  • Measurement & Optimization: Define success metrics, monitor campaign performance, and continuously optimize marketing programs to drive reach, engagement, and impact.
  • Reach Amplification: Working with Communications leads to ensure all campaigns are amplified with a support plan to unlock earned media and maximize reach.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • 4-7 years of experience in campaign management, brand marketing, or go-to-market strategy, preferably at an agency, or in sports, entertainment, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Proven experience in building integrated go-to-market strategies across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • The ideal candidate will be data-driven, collaborative, and have a deep understanding of marketing trends, audience behavior, and media landscapes.
  • The ideal candidate should also have a basic understanding of, or previous experience with Sport for Development, or they have worked in some capacity with other social impact initiatives, even if they are not directly related to sport
