"Fugees Coach"

Coaches at Fugees help to create a safe, highly effective and well-organized educational environment where families are supported with authentic, culturally competent engagement and communication and where the intersection between academics and athletics is effectively used to foster student success. Fugees Coaches are both paraprofessionals (working during the school day for non-instructional family and student support) and athletic staff (coaching school wide soccer teams both afterschool and on weekends).

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

FAMILY SUPPORT & ENGAGEMENT

Responsible for building strong home-school relationships by:

  • Having regular communication with her/his/their assigned families
  • Making regular home visits to assigned families
  • Working with the Family Engagement Coordinator to ensure adequate language access to school information for assigned families at school events
  • Being familiar with the academic progress of the students in her/his/their assigned families
  • Collected data as required by the Family Engagement Coordinator for federal programs

STUDENT SUPPORT

  • Supporting struggling students to self-monitor and adjust disruptive behavior
  • Assisting teachers in the classroom as needed
  • Assisting throughout the building with non-instructional duties

SOCCER

  • Supporting teachers to integrate aspects of soccer in the classroom
  • Run practice for assigned soccer teams after school
  • Assist with the inventory of soccer equipment and materials
  • Responsible for the transportation of students, staff and equipment to and from soccer practice and events
  • Prioritizes the safety of students by ensuring proper sport, safety, CPR and other protocols
  • Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Fluency in English plus one or more of the following languages is a requirement: Arabic, Burmese, French, Karen, Pashto, Spanish, or Swahili
  • One or more years of experience working with youth, preferably in an urban setting
  • One or more years of experience coaching a sports team (soccer preferred)
  • Citizenship, residency or work VISA in the United States required
  • Successful results on an FBI and state criminal background check
  • Valid driver’s license and comfort driving a 15-passenger van required
  • Experience working in refugee/immigrant communities preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, staff and public
  • A belief that all students can learn at high levels and should be held to high academic standards
  • Diplomacy and sensitivity to different cultural situations
  • Must be a person of unquestionable character – high integrity, hardworking and honest
  • Committed team player capable of working with minimum supervision

Middle School Athletic Coaches (Multiple Sports)

Position Overview:

Our Athletic Department provides enriching opportunities for students to develop teamwork, resilience, and leadership through sports. We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Middle School Athletic Coaches for the 2025–2026 school year. We are hiring for the following sports:

  • Boys' and Girls' Tennis

Each coach will be responsible for overseeing the development, safety, and performance of their respective teams while promoting a positive and inclusive athletic environment that aligns with the school’s values.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a positive role model to the players and parents.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct team practices and games.
  • Teach and model fundamental skills, sportsmanship, and team strategies.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all student athletes during practices and games.
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with student athletes, parents, and the Athletic Director.
  • Maintain equipment and uniforms; report any needs to the Athletic Director.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and school staff to support the athletic program.
  • Uphold school values and serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous coaching or competitive playing experience in the respective sport.
  • Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Must pass a background check.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Practices and games take place after school hours.
  • Season lengths vary per sport.
  • Competitive stipend offered per season, based on experience

Physical Requirements:

The employee must be able to:

  • Bend, crouch, run, walk through the school, and move from standing to sitting on the floor and back.
  • Use hands and fingers to reach, grab, write, handle, feel & control objects
  • See, talk and hear
  • Lift and carry objects including children up to 40 lbs.
  • Work in a busy and occasionally noisy environment

Position Description

The Research and Innovation Assistant will play a pivotal role in the implementation and operational execution of research and innovation initiatives within U.S. Soccer. Reporting directly to the Director of Research and Innovation, this position is designed to strengthen the department’s capacity to deliver high-impact, cross-functional projects that advance the health, performance, and development of players and staff across the U.S. Soccer ecosystem.

This role will have an impact on the implementation of research and innovation at the National Training Center and will primarily focus on coordinating and executing applied research projects, innovation pilots, and technology evaluations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in project management, with a strong understanding of scientific methodology and the ability to work in multidisciplinary environments. This position will work collaboratively with internal departments (e.g., Sport Science, Sport Medicine, Data Analytics, Sporting Analytics, Coaching Education, etc.), as well as external stakeholders (e.g., academic institutions, technology partners, and funding agencies).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the design and management of research and innovation projects. This may imply providing support in conducting experiments, including setting up equipment, preparing materials, and recording observations.
  • Assist in addressing applied research questions raised by high-performance staff, collaborating with external experts, universities, PhD candidates, or other partners when appropriate.
  • Conduct literature reviews to stay informed on emerging research, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Assist in the processing, analysis, and interpretation of data to extract meaningful insights.
  • Document experimental procedures, analyze results, and contribute to technical reports, presentations, and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Support the creation of communication materials that translate research findings into actionable insights (e.g., develop and publish educational resources across digital platforms).
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning through knowledge exchange.
  • Lead the organization of research and innovation events such as webinars, symposia, and workshops.
  • Assist with day-to-day project management tasks, including scheduling, coordinating communication between stakeholders, and tracking progress toward milestones.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, funding applications, and finding donors, sponsors, or industry funding to keep growing research and innovation at US Soccer.
  • Facilitate collaboration opportunities and attract innovative companies capable of addressing key challenges in soccer.
  • Ensure all initiatives align with U.S. Soccer’s strategic priorities and adhere to ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Stay current with scientific and technological advancements and share learnings to elevate the department’s collective expertise.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and PhD degree (or willingness to start a PhD program) in an area related to high performance (e.g., Sport Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, etc.)
  • General knowledge of soccer / Strong knowledge of soccer
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize workflow
  • Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work and execute under pressure and deadlines

N Zone Sports is looking for coaches to work with kids ages 3-9 years old in area Preschools and Elementary Schools to teach kids the basics of sports including soccer, t-ball, flag football, tennis and basketball. The desired candidate will have prior experience working with children and a love for sports. Enthusiasm and an outgoing personality as well as a desire to work with children is a must. Ideal candidate must have transportation and be willing to work in the preschools in the Roswell, Alpharetta, Dunwoody, and or Marietta area. Flexible schedule is available.
